In the UK, as far as me, and my 30+ years if life are concerned there is only one day a year when fireworks should be ‘detonated’, the night when we traditionally ‘celebrate’ the actions of Guy Fawkes, and his Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, yes indeed we like to remember and make a big deal out of night when a man decided that the best thing he could do for the country was blow up the government.

That night folks is November 5th. Yes, the 5th, of November.

Not the seven days before, not the seven days after, the 5th!

I’ve been plagued with fireworks going off for the last two nights already, despite the grotty weather, and the midweek days, and the fact that IT’S NOT BONFIRE NIGHT YET!

I can only see this getting worse. I think I may have to start delivering calendars to all the people in my neighbourhood.
